Conveyance of Baltimore Castle and other property in Carbery to Sir Walter, 1608.

Deed Poll - Donagh O'Driscoll, of Dawnenylonge, in the County of Corke, gent, in consideration of £300 grants to Walter Coppinger, of Cloghan, in the said County, Esquire, "All that the manor, castle, Towne, lands, Tenements, and hereditaments, of Downesheade, in Carbery, in the said County of Corke, and sixteene plowlands and a halfe, and thirtie acres to the said Mannor, Castle, Towne, and lands belonginge, called or knowne by the severall names hereafter ensueing, vizt Tullagh, conteyninge 3 plowlands, Rath, conteyninge 3 plowlands, the plowland called Lacaghane, the plowland and halfe called Gortarde, the plowland called Monaghe, the plowland and 30 acres called Remcormuck, and Geokane, the 3 plowlands of Ballynseighane, and the 3 plowlands of Ballynyallane, with all and singular the houses, buildings, harbours, creeks, stones, wreckes of the sea, fishings, woods, underwoods, fiscarries, mountains, orchards, medowes, advowsons, mills, seats of Millnes, Curtelages, toffs, perquisites, &c., together with the moitie of the profitts, emoluments, callers of fishinges, customes, duties, prequisites whatsoever of the harborrowe of Balltimore, &c., and also the chiefe rents, services, and duties due and payable yearly out of the townes, Landes, Tenements, and hereditaments followinge, viz., the annual or yearly chiefe rent of fortie three shillings and foure pence ster. out of Ffarrencouse, the yearly rent of twentie shillings ster. out of Glanycome and Balynarde, 37 shillings and fower pence ster. yearely issueing out of the Ould Courte foure shillings ster. yearely issueing out of Goreenbohen, the yearly rent of 37 shillings and four pence ster. issueing out of Ardaghe, the chief rent of 15 shillings ster.  out  of Rynedacassane, the 3 shillings 4 pence ster. out of Ornaghe, and the rent of 2 shillings 4 pence ster. out of fourty acres of Claugon, all which recited premised are in Carbery, in the County of Corke," To hold unto and to the use of the said Walter Coppinger his heirs and assigns.

Release of reversion in Baltimore Castle and other property in Carbery to Sir Walter, 1610.

Deed Poll by Thomas Crooke of Dounesheade in the County of Corke, Esquire.  Reciting that the said Thomas Crooke and Sir Fynnyn O'Driscoll, Knt, and Walter Coppinger, Esq., by deed indented, dated the 20th June 1610, had demised to Thomas Bennett, his executors and assigns, all that Castle, Toune, and Harborough of Baltimore in Carbery in the County of Corcke aforesaid, and ten plowlands to the said Castle and Toune belonginge or to the same adioyninge called and knowne by the severall names hereafter specified, that is to say three plowlands called Tullagh, three other plowlands called Rath, one plowland called Lacahane, one plowland and a halfe called Gortard, one ploweland called Monagh, and the other halfe ploweland called Rynecormuck with all meadowes, pastures, arrable grounds, woods, tymber, and appurtenances thereto belonging and alsoe all those chiefe rents issueinge out of the severall parcells of land in Carbery aforesaid, hereunder specified, that is to say out of the Iland of Cleire fowre pounds ster., out of the lands called Leclay twentie shillings ster., out of the lands called Slewmore twentie shillings ster., out of the lands called Farrenycowse thirtie shillings ster., out of the lands of Gortydrohid ten shillings ster., out of the landes of Gortylaska ten shillings, out of the lands of Downegaule thirteene shillings foure pence ster., out of the lands of Ould Court thirtie seaven shillings and foure pence ster., out of Ardagh thirtie seaven shillings and fowre pence ster., out of the lands of Glanvecquya and Comeyvarodige twentie shillings ster., out of the lands of Leck twentie shillings ster., out of the lands of Gortyvoker nyne shillings ster., out of Drishane thirteene shillings fowre pence ster., and the revercon and revercons of all and singular the premises, To hold the same to the said Thomas Bennett, his executors and assigns, from the feast day of Saint Phillippe and Jacob then last past for the tearm of 21 yeares without any impeachment of wast, saue onely in the Castle and House, at the makeing of the said demise in the said Crookes occupation, yeildinge and payeing therefore to the said Thomas Crooke, his heirs and assigns, for the 1st and the last yeare of the said tearme the yearely rent of fowre pence per annum, and for the other nyneteen yeares the yearely rent of fiftie pounds ster.  Witness that the said Thomas Crooke in consideration of nyne score and fiue pounds ten shillings by the said Walter Coppinger, on the behalfe of the said Sir Fynnyn O'Driscoll, paid by direction and with the full consent and assent of the said Sir Fynnyn, granted unto said Walter Coppinger, his heirs and assigns, the revercon and revercons of the said Castle, Towne, Harborough, Tenements, and hereditaments, and of all and singular other the said demised premises, and of everie parte and parcell thereof dependinge or expectant uppon the said estate for yeares, and all rents, duties, and services incident, belonginge, or appertayneinge to the said revercon and also the revercon and revercons of the said Chief rents and everie of them, Also witness that the said Thomas Crooke granted unto the said Walter Coppinger all escripts, charters, muniments, writings, patents, and conveyances either of Record or otherwise, concerninge the ffreehould estate and title of Inheritance of the premises, and of everie part and parcell of the same premises, To houlde the same unto the said Walter Coppinger, his heires and assignes, to the onely sole and imediate use and behooffe of the said Walter Coppinger, his heires and assignes for ever, to be held of the chief lord of lords of the fee of the premises by and under the rents and services due and of right accustomed.
